Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice

Equipment

  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Fork or hand mixer
  • Garlic press (optional)
  • Spatula
  • Airtight container or plastic wrap

Method
 

  1. Softening at room temperature 30-45 minutes cream cheese and butter
  2. Fresh herbs wash and chop fine; dry thoroughly
  3. Garlic mince very fine or press through garlic press
  4. Mix cream cheese and butter together until light and smooth (2-3 minutes)
  5. Stir in garlic, all herbs, pepper, salt, and lemon juice; fold in evenly
  6. Taste and add seasonings if desired
  7. Chill and move minimum 2 hours (best overnight)
  8. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes prior to serving
  9. Serve with vegetables, baguette, or crackers

Use full-fat cream cheese for optimal texture
Fresh herbs only – dried herbs will not taste the same
Refrigerate for up to 1 week
Flavor improves after 24 hours
Can freeze for up to 2 months (texture will be slightly off)
